Earplugs Uncorded

Just wonderin', is it better to shoot trap with earplugs instead of head-muffs?

I'm opting for head-muffs as it sounds like that would be easier in the process of trying to teach some people. (I'm not experienced myself but know the overall concepts of the sport. We will be doing it with someone who knows somewhat more than us.)

Ear plugs. When properly used, good quality plugs and muffs are both equally effective at attenuating the damaging sounds associated with shooting. Muffs are more convenient, but they can get in the way when you bring the stock to your cheek. I use disposable ear plugs for all my long gun shooting. I bought a huge box of ear plugs and keep my range bag well stocked for myself and any friend I drag to the range with me. They do require some care when inserting to get a good seal, but the do the job.
